How we started
Please let us tell you about how we trained our mom to making us these delicious treats. Our Mom, Sarah Hazel - owner and operator of our "doggie deli", started raw-feeding us because she didn't like what she had read about the ingredients in commercially prepared kibble. Mom is a member of Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League and some of the volunteers raw-fed their dogs. She was impressed with the health of their furbabies. She did a lot of research and decided to take the plunge into raw-feeding.
Soon, she started looking at the ingredient lists in commercially prepared treats and decided that we deserved better. We really preferred the homemade treats. The treats are all made with human-quality ingredients and there are no preservatives. In fact, you can pronounce all of the ingredients. Our mom even taste tested the treats! (well...not the liver ones - even WE can't get her to eat liver). Mom decided that other people's dogs should also be able to benefit from these handmade treats, so she started making them to sell.
Mom has also been spreading the word about raw-feeding. Since it can be a time-consuming process, she decided that making custom veggie mixes for busy pet-owners was a great way to convert more raw feeders!
Once Hansie saw how popular our dog treats were, he lobbied Mom to make treats for him too. Since he's so picky, it took he a while to get a good recipe, but she finally found one he liked. (She won't let us taste the kitty treats. She says that's Hansie's job.)
After General joined our family, he decided to take over all the other goodies we have. You know...the blankets, toys, bowls, gift baskets and birthday cakes along with a few other things. He still gets to taste the treats, but he hasn't managed to slip us any extra toys yet!
Sincerely,
Duke and Molly
From Sarah...
We feel it is very important to provide high-quality treats for your pets. We won't sell anything that we wouldn't feed to our own furbabies. We bake in small batches, on demand. That way, we insure that your treats are nice and fresh. Nothing has preservatives, so we ask that you store the treats in the freezer to avoid spoilage.
We hope your babies are as happy with our treats as Duke, Molly, General and Hansie!
Bone Appetit!
